A Call for Intercessors

Dear friends and family in Christ,

As I continue to wait on the Lord in prayer for Prayer New England Ministries and revival in New England, I sense God’s burden for intercessors to arise and join the movement of prayer. I remain convinced and convicted by the Holy Spirit, that it is only this movement of prayer that will usher in the presence of God – refreshing our hearts and reviving our land.

God makes intercessors through individual relationships with Christ Jesus. Out of relationship, we His people, become servants and intercessors for His Kingdom.

In Luke 2:36-38, we see Anna the Prophetess in the Temple of God, fasting and praying daily until she saw the Christ child, Jesus the Messiah.

Similarly today, through our waiting on the Lord in prayer and fellowship, we also will see Jesus in all of His glory. We will see who He really is and who we are in Him. Through prayer, we receive revelation of our Lord God, His ways and desires. We become strengthened in our faith. We discover just how faithful He is in answering our prayers in ways beyond our expectations.

In the Bible, we read about Mary who sat at Jesus’ feet. Jesus would visit her home where she lived with her sister Martha. Mary is a great illustration of a person who was faithful to spend time with Jesus. When she sat at His feet, she listened to His word which He spoke as they spent this intimate time together.

As a result of hearing Him speak, her faith in Him increased. She received revelation of who He was and His character. Because she chose to be at His feet daily, she understood His love for her and she grew to love Him and obey His every word.

There was a time coming that she would need great faith, “faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17).”
The time came, Lazarus was sick unto death and died as a result.
When Lazarus was sick, they sent for Jesus to come and heal him but Jesus delayed His coming. Mary waited at home, still and confident her Jesus would come to heal Lazarus.

Martha however, ran after Him and accused him for not coming on time. Martha didn’t know Jesus as intimately as Mary; she was too busy with other matters. Martha had little to no faith in Jesus because she didn’t take time to sit at His feet like Mary did, worshipping and listening to His word.

As a result of her faith, Mary saw the glory of God. Her prayer was answered in a way that was far beyond her expectation. Lazarus was raised from the dead.

My personal life in Christ is like Mary. I learned early in my walk with the Lord to take time and sit at His feet daily. During this time, He revealed Himself to me through reading His word and hearing Him speak to my heart.

Throughout my Christian life, my faith has increased daily. God has answered many of my prayers beyond my expectation in supernatural, miraculous ways.

In 1994, I founded a bible school. It was not in my thoughts or heart at the time, but it was in God’s. The founding and growth of this school over the past 17 years has been a direct result of intimate and persistent times of prayer and waiting on the Lord.

Through the school many have become Marys, Daniels, Davids and Esthers. These men and women know their God and they know who they are in Him. Today they know His voice, and walk in His ways. They are experiencing God’s glory in their lives and have become great intercessors and prayer warriors.

In Isaiah 59:16, God asked Isaiah, “Is there no man.  Is there no intercessor who will stand in the gap for God’s people?”
The Lord asks the same question today.

God continues to seek out intercessors who will stand in the gap for His Body, the Church of Jesus Christ!

As with the Ephesian church in Revelation 2:1-7, the Body of Christ in our day is in desperate need of healing, deliverance and a return to their first love (Jesus).

God wants to send a great revival to His church, the Body of Jesus Christ. He needs people who will stand in the gap for His people. People who will pray until the windows of heaven are open and God once again comes down with Holy Ghost rain, to revive and refresh His people.

We are inviting all who read this exhortation, to consider giving some time to pray with us and to believe that God will soon send the revival He has promised to send to New England.

As it says in II Chronicles 7:14, it has to begin with us humbling ourselves before God Almighty. He loves His people, and wants to deliver them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20).

Our love and prayers are with you and the entire Body of Christ.
We have been here in New England for over a year and God is doing great things in our midst. Please continue to explore our website for more information about who we are or to submit a prayer request.

Please pray for us as we go forth in obedience to do God’s will.
Thank you for your prayers and giving to the Lord.

In His service,
Pastor Catherine
